Custom Jewelry

There is a price I pay for creative freedom. If I worry too much about someone liking my custom jewelry, I will never create my best work. So not only will you never see it, I won't either. In a jewelry design competition, the judges have already seen all of yesterday's designs. They want a peek at tomorrow, but they want it to sell today. As a ten-time award winning designer, I can tell you that is a lot harder than it sounds.

There are a lot of things happening in jewelry today. Color is big from black diamonds to purple pearls and sapphires of every color are available to the designer. There is a freedom being given to the true artisan. Thanks to today's technology, gemstones are being cut in ways never seen before. It is truly an exciting time for the creative soul and designer of custom jewelry.

I believe that I am only now coming into my prime as a designer with the best yet to come. I'm looking at this decade to be mine. A time to make my best custom jewelry. In my heart, I know I'm right where I am supposed to be.
